One morning I had been taking photos at sunrise of the old cottage on Snowball Farm, just off the Hume Highway south of Gundagai, New South Wales. One of those shots has become a very popular print entitled, "On the Road to Gundagai". A little later, some storm clouds rolled in. As they partly obscured the sun, those clouds produced a beautiful, dappled light for me to shoot this scene, which happened to be the view directly behind me. The location is Snowball Farm, just off the Hume Highway north of Gundagai. This image is a perfect example of how moody light can often work in our favour to create a totally different shot. The sky was nice and clear at sunrise, which was just what I needed for that first shot, but this scene needed that cloud cover, as I was shooting right into the sun.
